L'Oréal Professionnel: Steampod Smoothing Treatment (Serum)

The L’Oréal Professionnel SteamPod Professional Smoothing Treatment is a leave-in thermo-protective concentrate designed to protect hair from heat and humidity while providing a smoother, shinier, and more disciplined result.

Its patented formula contains 5% Alpha-Silane. Activated by heat and amplified by the SteamPod’s steam, this technology creates a protective layer around the hair fiber. L’Oréal Professionnel states that its effect can last through up to 5 shampoos.

Although particularly recommended for use with the SteamPod, the treatment is compatible with other straighteners.

Alpha-Silane is the star active ingredient in this treatment. The patented formula is water-free and the technology is activated by heat. With heat and steam, the Alpha-Silane and amino-silicone react to create a smooth, hydrophobic coating around the fiber.

🧴 Directions for Use

After shampooing, towel-dry the hair.

Apply the treatment to the lengths and ends: 1 to 2 pumps for fine to medium hair and 3 to 4 pumps for thick hair. As the texture is liquid and concentrated, L’Oréal recommends applying no more than one pump at a time and sectioning the hair as needed. Do not rinse.

Then, blow-dry the hair completely before proceeding to style with the SteamPod or another heat tool. For optimal results, L’Oréal Professionnel recommends using the SteamPod.
